Well they say our nation will go broke in a few years,and they want to start cutting. One is medicare for those that make to much.What programs do you think the Government should cut?

I think a "cut" to any number of "programs" would only result in very short-term (if any) savings.
I favor elimination or a crippling paring-back of multiple federal agencies / departments:
Agriculture Education Energy Health & Human Services Homeland Security Housing and Urban Development
Much of what remains after this could be further consolidated by cutting / merging redundant agencies.
After the trash is carried out, initiate 5% across-the-board annual cuts to all remaining agencies, effective until the federal budget drops below 10 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), where it is to remain, in perpetuity, unless military conflict necessitates more temporary revenues.
OK, that was a pleasant dream...

the 2 early 'spikes' are WWI and WWII. The current 'spike' (from 35% to 45% GDP) is from Bush's Shaftulus I, and Bambi's "Fundamental (Hope &) Change of America.

You Cut out the TOP people first. That's what Obama says, so I agree with him. Let's start with these cuts:
CONGRESS AND THE PRESIDENT AND ALL OTHER WORKERS IN GOVERNMENT WHO SERVE ANY ADMINISTRATION ARE TEMP WORKERS. NO OTHER COMPANY GIVES PENSIONS, OR OTHER PERKS LIKE OUR CONGRESS AND PRESIDENT HAVE, SO WHY SHOULD THEY GET THEM? CUT THE SALARY OF THE PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS - DO WHAT OBAMA SUGGESTS - PAY FOR PERFORMANCE ACCORDING TO THE PEOPLE'S WISHES
AID TO OTHER COUNTRIES
ALL GOVERNMENT UNIONS AND THEIR PENSIONS FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, AND MAKE IT RETROACTIVE TO THE FIRST OF 2010

CUT EVERY SINGLE PORK EVER PRESENTED RETROACTIVELY

ENVIRONMENTALISTS - ALL
LIMIT FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC, AND FULLY INVESTIGATE THEM FOR FRAUD SINCE THEIR INCEPTION
This is just a START. You cut all of the above out immediately, and think how much money we would have. We would probably have enough money to pay off the debt plus.
