That is correct Julia. At that time they were called Hebrews. Abraham is the father of both Isreal and Palestine. But the "people" existed well before Abraham.

Dear Brig: I never said people didnt exist before Abraham..But Abraham is known being israelites and Arabs grandfather.but, of course semites(Sons of Shem) existed before Abraham.. I read somewhere Abraham s mother was not semitic..(may be Hitit or hurrian) But, the reality is The Israelis made them everything their own..The 12 Tribes were existed long before jews and arabs ..May be They were neither semitic nor hamitic or Japhetidic(Non of the Noahs sons, but, they were Sumerians or Elamic..We have to look at the things more colsely..Those stories could have been taken from former historical persons.. Julia the "people" I was referring to were the ancestors of Abraham. According to Biblical references they were decended from the children of Noah.

Dear Incredulous: I was not born in the USA, Actually I came to the US in my mature ages, And I did not learn any English in the school,I came here and went to some school.I studied and worked in the same time..I am sorry for the grammatic mistakes..but, It doesnt change the truth..most of the Middle eastern stories matches with each other.One of them was "The ten tribes " story. If you read Bluehue`s thoeries,"moses' was Pharao "Ahmose", Some people believes he was the Pharao Akhen- Aten.I think all those stories belong to all the middle east, and not particularly jews, arabs, greeks or other people of the Mid East..Most of the Greeks gods belongs to the Pelasgians(etruscans)The legends and Myths are there sonce the Sumerian times..
