Doc has brought up something even more fascinating than solar flares.

These sounds that are being heard worldwide are no coincidence, and even scientists are having problems. Below is the beginning of our discussion. What do you think?

What gets me all these strange noises from all over the world. The angels blowing their trumpets?
I would`nt be that scared If I did`nt hear them myself. I heard some a few weeks ago and I thought there`s nothing in our city that would produce those awful roaring sounds

Smiley4554 posted 01-30-2012 03:34 PM - My 1st thought? Pole reversal since they are reversing, and they do so every 26,000 years - interesting? Coincides with the Mayan calendar, and indeed, all the other cultures which kept calendars as well. It's a consensus. Where they got the info is a true mystery.

Now my take on it all.

UK = The booms are at a specific interval.

Vancouver Canada = The first sound of a "boom" sounds like "thunder", and since it is snowing, there is such a thing as "thunder snow". Other sounds are muted by the wind, the traffic noises like the siren, and the heavy breathing by the filmer.

Spain = Sounds an awful like jets revving up. We live about 4 miles from the airport, and I hear that same sound all day long - esp first thing in the morning.

Winnipeg Canada = Again, the humming sound is at a specific interval. Could indicate the wind. According to the one comment, the person says that they were having very heavy winds at that point in time. But, this one is the first one that is eerie sounding.

Thunder Bay, Ontario = You can hear the heavy wind in the background. He does say that the airport is nearby. But, these do not sound like jets. They are eerie.

Of course, there are 3 from Canada. Now, plotting these 3 on Google Maps, it appears to me that they Thunder Bay is just south of 49 Degrees Lat. Winnipeg, just south of 50 Degrees Lat as is Vancouver.

Cumbria, UK, is in the 54 Degree Lat, while Badajoz is between 38 -39 Degrees lat. This was my first thought - they all might be within the same Lats, except for Spain. Badajoz does have a volcano lava field nearby -

quote:
Pyroclastic cones
Maars
Lava domes
Summit Elev: 1117 m
Latitude: 38.87°N
Longitude: 4.02°W
The dominantly Pliocene Calatrava volcanic field lies in central Spain near Ciudad Real. The more than 300 basaltic-to-foiditic pyroclastic cones, maars, and lava domes cover an area of more than 5000 sq km. The Calatrava volcanic field is mostly of Pliocene or late-Pleistocene age, although late-stage phreatomagmatic activity at Columba volcano was dated at the mid-Holocene. The volcanic field lies in a continental rift setting and contains several lake-filled maars. Fumarolic activity was recorded in the Sierra de Valenzuela area during the 16th-18th centuries.9.quote]

Vancouver, Canada lies along the 49 Degree lats, but strangely enough, earthquakes are along the 49 Degrees, 15 mins. there are at least 3 relatively nearby.

But these are the only ones near any type of active earthquake/volcanic area.

So, I'm guessing that rules this idea out as well.

We can safely, I think, rule out the sounds coming from the Earth.

Now, along about this time, that massive solar storm was going on. While it wasn't mentioned until the 24th, there were some others happening just before this date, too. These were also announced, but not the extent the one on the 24th happened.

Now, I found this link to a map in 2011, in March, experiencing strange noises as well.

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread678017/pg1

And, here are some other comments I found as well dating in 2011 various months. This next link was published in January 17, 2012.

http://dorsi.hubpages.com/hub/Strange-sounds-in-the-sky-from-around-the-world

Now, we all do know the poles are undergoing a pole reversal. This is a fact that the USGS has admitted. Slow though it may be, at any time, they could flip causing real problems for the Earth.

http://strangesoundsinthesky.com/2012/01/20/magnetic-pole-shift-sky-roars-in-spain-chile-and-columbia/

In most cases there is a definite interval between them. Some are constant, but most are not.

Remember what I said above? That it sounded like "jets" to me? Well, the above link says the same thing. This is how they are describing the sounds.

Recently, a possible additional "planet" was discovered in such a huge orbit around the sun that we are only just now figuring this out.

The Earth may be experiencing some changes that have not been seen in recorded history. Many of the cataclysms in our myths and legends may very well be from this cause of the Pole Reversals.

Smiley the sounds that gets me are the sounds heard in Costa Rica. They sound like metal gears moving and rubbing together.

http://www.costaricanewssite.com/strange-sound-heard-throughout-costa-rica.

The sounds I heard a few weeks ago, were like one person had said ,a fleet of diesel trucks idling next to your home.People have been hearing these hums for a long time over the world.I remember posting about them last year when I had heard them then. But these sounds that people are now hearing now are different.

Mysterious noise escalates in Windsor, Ont.

An unexplained rumbling disturbed hundreds of Windsor, Ont., residents this weekend to the extent that some thought it was an earthquake, prompting calls for Ottawa to step in.

That's the same sound from Spain, I think. The first sound does sound like waves from the ocean. It's the second one that is really eerie.

It also sounds a lot, in a way, like a Hawaiian blowing through a conche shell. But, it's way too loud for that.

You don't have to have the Earth move to get sounds. Earth doesn't move, yet creates those mysterious lights as well.

I believe it has to do with the pole reversal. There just isn't another explanation.

I'm also going out on a limb here. I hear strange noises all the time. My left ear "shuts down", and I pick up a very high-frequency sound. It's so loud, it numbs my ear. It lasts for about the same length of time as these sounds, but is just once. Once the frequency ends, my ear returns to normal.

We hear strange booms around here, too, but it's because of Fort Chaffee. Even though it is shut down, they still use it for training. Although the other day, we heard a strange booming type noise which rose and fell, but not like these.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ThjG0fIuhVM#!

This is another one I found. This time, these recordings are actually coming from the different planets including the moon, etc.

http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/vents/acoustics/sounds/bloop.wav

I looked up the coordinates, and it's in the Pacific, west of South America, and just north of the Antarctic.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ2ZcmMxehk

Here's a youtube composite of sounds. This will give you horrendous chills - more than the others.

One thing about it, though. I always listen to the animals. If they continue making sounds, I would not worry about it that much.

However, in this one, the birds are tweeting at first in the first one, then stop.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MmWeZHsQzs&feature=player_embedded#!

We just cannot eliminate the possibility of the sounds as the Earth's poles reverse. And, we did have a massive solar flare, too - a huge one.

[quote]Strange unearthly sounds heard around Earth are perplexing scientists, especially when similar sounds are heard at the same time. The sounds are described as "running trains," while others are described as trumpets or booming sounds. All are unearthly.
YouTube.com is full of videos displaying strange sounds from all over the world, with viewers asking for explanations. They vary in countries and states---with many heard at the same time but in different locations of Earth, such as the sounds in southern Sweden.
"What's going on is an interesting challenge, whatever it might be," said seismologist David Hill, scientist emeritus at the U.S. Geological Survey office in Menlo Park, Calif., in the article, "Mysterious 'Booming Sounds' Heard Around World Perplex Scientists." "It seems there is quite a range of processes in nature that might be responsible."
Some of the enigmas he was referring to were rock bursts, earthquakes, tsunamis, meteors, mud volcanoes, explosive venting of gases, distant thunder and booming sands. Another natural suggestion were meteor shower sounds captured in space.
One such example is the Perseid meteor shower , which sound exactly like some of the sound heard in the videos. In Life's Little Mysteries, this clip was captured by the U.S. Air Force Space Surveillance Radar in Texas as it echoed the Perseid showers, a 2,000 year-old event.
According to Hill, the USArray is moving across the eastern part of the United States, and "it might help resolve the issue of what the sounds on the North Carolina coast are." USArray is one of three components of the Earthscope project, a portable array of 400 seismometers deployed across the United States over a ten-year period.
Additionally, a flexible component array is available for deployment where a denser network of seismometers is required. Another array of USGS seismometers is also available. USArray is charged with the real time seismic data that is collected, transmitted, checked for quality, archived and is accessible online for the general public and researchers.
This research by Hill will be detailed in the September-October journal of Seismological Research Letters.

Mysterious 'Booming Sounds' Heard Around World Perplex Scientists

Mysterious booming sounds are occasionally heard on the North Carolina coast, often powerful enough to rattle windows and doors. They cannot be explained by thunderstorms or any manmade sources — their source is a mystery.

Such dins are not unique to North Carolina or the modern age. People living near Seneca Lake in upstate New York have long known of similar booming sounds, which they called "Seneca guns." In coastal Belgium, they are known as "mistpouffers," or fog belches; in the Ganges delta and the Bay of Bengal, "Bansal guns;" in the Italian Apennines, "brontidi," or thunder-like; and by the Harami people of Shikoku, Japan, "yan."

"What's going on is an interesting challenge, whatever it might be," said seismologist David Hill, scientist emeritus at the U.S. Geological Survey office in Menlo Park, Calif.

Long list of explanations

A host of plausible explanations may now exist for these enigmas, including earthquakes, rock bursts, mud volcanoes, explosive venting of gas, storm-driven waves, tsunamis, meteors, distant thunder and so-called booming sands.

"It seems there is quite a range of processes in nature that might be responsible," Hill told OurAmazingPlanet.

"Earwitnesses" described sounds like booming cannons or falling stones accompanying small to moderate earthquakes in England from 1880 to 1916. In 1975, U.S. Geological Survey researchers managed to record both acoustic and seismic signals of an earthquake swarm in California, finding that three earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.0 to 2.8 produced sounds that began within 0.02 seconds of the arrival of seismic waves at the scientists' station. Similar results were seen with quakes in the French Pyrenees in 2004.

All in all, audible sounds from earthquakes might be perceived even when shaking is not, Hill suggested. For instance, while earthquakes are rare in coastal North Carolina, they are relatively common in the Charleston area of South Carolina, the site of the 1886 magnitude 7.6 Charleston quake, and the Catskill Mountains that Seneca Lake is located within do host low-level earthquake activity. Locals could be hearing an earthquake that is too small for them to feel.

Also, rock bursts, where long-buried rock can suddenly release stress, often because of mining removing confining material above it, can essentially be seen as a type of small, near-surface earthquake. Scientists have reported feeling perceptible jolts and hearing sharp booming sounds from such bursts, Hill said.

Giant waves might also be responsible for the mystery sounds, Hill suggested. Scientists have found that booming sounds are apparently familiar to big-wave surfers during extreme waves. In addition, after the catastrophic 2004 magnitude 9.1 Sumatra earthquake and tsunami, multiple witnesses said they heard loud, offshore booming sounds closely accompanying two or three of the largest waves that struck the coast at any given site.

"I was surprised to learn about the possibility that tsunamis produce these kinds of sounds," Hill said. "I don't think anyone understands that process."

Hill suggests the sounds heard off the coasts of North Carolina, Belgium and the Bay of Bengal might be large waves caused by distant storms that break well offshore, beyond outer banks or barrier beaches. Such waves might also disrupt offshore methane hydrate deposits, leading to explosive venting of high-pressure gas trapped deep within the Earth.

Booming sands and seismometers

Another possibility is meteors. Meteors can generate sonic booms and explode dramatically as they plummet from space. Given how long it can take a shockwave to reach the Earth's surface from the upper atmosphere, visible signs of the meteor can vanish before its sonic boom is heard, especially during the daytime, Hill noted.

Under the right circumstances, even sand dunes can generate a variety of sounds, including whispering, humming, whistling and squeaking. Booming sands, comparable to rumbling thunder, can be heard to distances of 6 miles (10 kilometers) and for as long as 15 minutes, are possible as well. They generally appear limited to large sand dunes in arid climates with steep faces pointing away from the wind, and seem to require loosely packed, very smooth, almost spherical sand grains.

"In the eastern desert in Egypt, the Bedouins have a long history of hearing booms and avoiding that area — after installing seismometers there, researchers were able to go back and see these sounds seem correlated with small earthquakes that caused booming sands," Hill said.

In the future, after potential artificial sources of mysterious booming sounds are ruled out, such as military exercises and quarry blasts, seismic networks could quickly reveal if earthquakes or volcanoes were responsible. For instance, the USArray, a mobile network of seismometers, is currently moving east across the United States and "it might help resolve the issue of what the sounds on the North Carolina coast are," Hill said.

Hill detailed this research in the September-October issue of the journal Seismological Research Letters.

We lived on lake Erie, and we heard some really lowd sounds today. I heard them but I was to busy to really pay attention. But my disabled hubby yelled out from the bedroom, what in the heck was that horriabe noise? He described them as a hundred jets flying over.
I then told him of the sounds people are hearing all over the world and don`nt know what they are.I glad he had heard them to, because I was beginning to think it was just me hearing them.

The hums have been heard all over the world in the past and I have heard them before, did make me think there is something in the inter earth making them and I accepted the researchers explaination.

(Colliding ocean wavesResearchers from the USArray Earthscope have tracked down a series of infrasonic humming noises produced by waves crashing together and thence into the ocean floor, off the North-West coast of the USA. Potentially, sound from these collisions could travel to many parts of the globe.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hum

However those awful sounds people are now hearing in Costa Rica and other places lately, sound like metal gears moving and rubbing together, some type of machinery.

Smiley, the other day when my hubby heard those awful sounds my daughter who lives in up in rural Mich heard them to, she was so scared she was about to grab her daughter and run.She works in Toledo at a hospital right next to the BP refinery and I asked her if they ever give off those sounds and she said no way.We both heard those sounds in leaving her house today, it was like a rumbeling boom boom sound. She was trying to record it on her phone, but I was to cold and said lets go.We can`nt explain how those sounds could have come from our areas.

The zones which are supposed to sink may be creating one set of sounds and the zones which are supposed to rise may be creating another set of sounds.

All I know is that I believe anyone who has heard this, Doc. There are too many people, too many cities, all over the world to deny it is.

Now, if it is coming from areas of mostly large bodies of water, this should be a real clue.

Rajesh, that's as good an explanation as I've heard.

It could very well be a variety of geomagnetic noise that man has never heard.

"The past record of geomagnetic reversals was first noticed by observing the magnetic stripe "anomalies" on the ocean floor."

OK. That fits. It's coming from mostly large bodies of water. And, this was how plate tectonics was born.

Rajesh you may be right.Edgar Cayce had said something to that affect, that the great lakes areas would rise and become more tropical. I believe it after the warm winter we are having this year.

STRANGE SOUNDS IN SKY EXPLAINED BY SCIENTISTS

Mr. Khalilov, what is the nature of the unusual very low-pitched sounds reported by a great number of people in different parts of the planet since the summer of 2011? Many call them “The Sound of the Apocalypse”. Information about that comes from all over the world: US, UK, Costa Rica, Russia, Czech Republic, Australia, etc.

We have analyzed records of these sounds and found that most of their spectrum lies within the infrasound range, i.e. is not audible to humans. What people hear is only a small fraction of the actual power of these sounds. They are low-frequency acoustic emissions in the range between 20 and 100 Hz modulated by ultra-low infrasonic waves from 0.1 to 15 Hz. In geophysics, they are called acoustic-gravity waves; they are formed in the upper atmosphere, at the atmosphere-ionosphere boundary in particular. There can be quite a lot of causes why those waves are generated: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, storms, tsunamis, etc. However, the scale of the observed humming sound in terms of both the area covered and its power far exceeds those that can be generated by the above-mentioned phenomena.

In that case, what could be causing this humming in the sky?

In our opinion, the source of such powerful and immense manifestation of acoustic-gravity waves must be very large-scale energy processes. These processes include powerful solar flares and huge energy flows generated by them, rushing towards Earth's surface and destabilizing the magnetosphere, ionosphere and upper atmosphere. Thus, the effects of powerful solar flares: the impact of shock waves in the solar wind, streams of corpuscles and bursts of electromagnetic radiation are the main causes of generation of acoustic-gravitation waves following increased solar activity.

Given the surge in solar activity as manifested itself in the higher number and energy of solar flares since mid-2011, we can assume that there is a high probability of impact of the substantial increase in solar activity on the generation of the unusual humming coming from the sky. It should be pointed out that solar activity began to rise sharply since early 2011, with its amplitude significantly higher than all forecasts given by a number of influential scientific institutions in 2010 and 2011. Meanwhile, the observed increase in solar activity is fully consistent with the forecast of the International Committee GEOCHANGE published in the Committee's Report in June 2010. If this growth rate of solar activity continues, its amplitude by the end of 2012 will be higher than the amplitude of 23rd solar cycle, and in 2013-2014 the solar activity will reach its peak the amplitude of which was predicted by us to be 1.5 - 1.7 times higher than the amplitude of the 23rd cycle.

But you said that the cause of the "sky hum" can lie within Earth's core as well, what does it mean?

There is one more possible cause of these sounds and it may lie at the Earth's core. The fact is that the acceleration of the drift of the Earth's north magnetic pole which increased more than fivefold between 1998 and 2003 and is at the same level today points to intensification of energy processes in the Earth's core, since it is processes in the inner and outer core that form the Earth's geomagnetic field. Meanwhile, as we have already reported, on November 15, 2011 all ATROPATENA geophysical stations which record three-dimensional variations of the Earth's gravitational field almost simultaneously registered a powerful gravitational impulse. The stations are deployed in Istanbul, Kiev, Baku, Islamabad and Yogyakarta, with the first and last one being separated by a distance of about 10,000 km. Such a phenomenon is only possible if the source of this emanation is at the Earth's core level. That huge energy release from the Earth's core at the end of the last year was some kind of a start signal indicating the transition of the Earth's internal energy into a new active phase.
Intensification of the energy processes in the Earth's core can modulate the geomagnetic field which, through a chain of physical processes at the ionosphere - atmosphere boundary level, generates acoustic-gravity waves the audible range of which has been heard by people in the form of a frightening low-frequency sound in different parts of our planet.

In both cases, even though the causes of acoustic-gravity waves are of a quite understandable geophysical nature, they are indicative of the expected significant increase in solar activity and the geodynamic activity of our planet. There is no doubt that processes in the core rule the internal energy of our planet, therefore, we should expect by the end of 2012 a sharp rise in strong earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and extreme weather events with peak levels in 2013 - 2014.

These waves and their modulations may be affecting the human minds making them more vacillating or numb depending upon the interaction of various parameters. G_d knows.

OK. Never even heard of the word "infrasound" so went to look it up.

Definition:

"A wave phenomenon sharing the physical nature of sound but with a range of frequencies below that of human hearing."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infrasound

"Infrasound is sound that is lower in frequency than 20 Hz (Hertz) or cycles per second, the "normal" limit of human hearing. Hearing becomes gradually less sensitive as frequency decreases, so for humans to perceive infrasound, the sound pressure must be sufficiently high. The ear is the primary organ for sensing infrasound, but at higher levels it is possible to feel infrasound vibrations in various parts of the body."

I hate bass sounds. They hurt my ear so badly, and agitate me, I cannot sleep, and get terrible headaches.

Perhaps this could literally be the reason for everyone's moods these days. As if something is "pushing" people to a bad mood. Everyone always is saying that they are irritable, but they don't know why.

"Twenty Hz is considered the normal low frequency limit of human hearing. When pure sine waves are reproduced under ideal conditions and at very high volume, a human listener will be able to identify tones as low as 12 Hz.[27] Below 10 Hz it is possible to perceive the single cycles of the sound, along with a sensation of pressure at the eardrums."

The pressure I have quite frequently. That's nothing new for me. I have told my husband over and over, and daughter, about this.

"One study has suggested that infrasound may cause feelings of awe or fear in humans. It was also suggested that since it is not consciously perceived, it can make people feel vaguely that supernatural events are taking place.[28]"

That may be true, but not the supernatural bit.

"The presence of the tone resulted in a significant number (22%) of respondents reporting anxiety, uneasiness, extreme sorrow, nervous feelings of revulsion or fear, chills down the spine and feelings of pressure on the chest"

OK. Doesn't everyone seem curious why so many upheavals are going on right now? It's as if a mass hysteria has been generated. Could this sound be the cause of this? No, not all cases, but it only takes one person to incite a riot.

Could our current world-wide upheaval be caused by this sound?

Brig, you might be interest in this aspect.

"Suggested relationship to ghost sightings...

Research by Vic Tandy, a lecturer at Coventry University, suggested that an infrasonic signal of 19 Hz might be responsible for some ghost sightings. Tandy was working late one night alone in a supposedly haunted laboratory at Warwick, when he felt very anxious and could detect a grey blob out of the corner of his eye. When Tandy turned to face the grey blob, there was nothing.

The following day, Tandy was working on his fencing foil, with the handle held in a vise. Although there was nothing touching it, the blade started to vibrate wildly. Further investigation led Tandy to discover that the extractor fan in the lab was emitting a frequency of 18.98 Hz, very close to the resonant frequency of the eye given as 18 Hz by NASA.[32] This was why Tandy had seen a ghostly figure—it was an optical illusion caused by his eyeballs resonating. The room was exactly half a wavelength in length, and the desk was in the centre, thus causing a standing wave which caused the vibration of the foil.[33]

Tandy investigated this phenomenon further and wrote a paper entitled The Ghost in the Machine.[34] Tandy carried out a number of investigations at various sites believed to be haunted, including the basement of the Tourist Information Bureau next to Coventry Cathedral[35][36] and Edinburgh Castle.[37][38]"

OK. There is a correlation here, guys.

Another case in point. Animals hear earthquakes long before humans.

http://journal.borderlands.com/1997/infrasound/

Each of the 4 elements, Earth, Fire, Water, Wind all have sounds in them as well as man-made machines.

I also have to say that it is possible that we are also hearing the auroras as well.

Same site about the hum.

http://journal.borderlands.com/1996/nocturnal-disturbances-and-the-infrasonic-hum/

The essay says it's "regional" but that cannot be true since people all over the world are hearing it.

I have tinnitus. Let me tell you that sound has NOTHING to do with this. The current "scientific" explanations would only be believed by morons.

I wonder how much of this is causing the rioting all over the world? The anger everyone is feeling. Is it a cause, in some cases, of high blood pressure?

Certain sounds bother me. I hear them, but no one else does. It astounds me that they cannot they can be so very loud. The other day, though, now that I remember, asked me, at night, if I could hear that "noise". I couldn't. Strange. Then, he said, "You can't hear that 'hum'? No, I couldn't.

When I listened to the sounds, they hurt my ears terribly, but the "hum" isn't that big a deal for me since I do have tinnitus, it's a sound I hear quite a bit. Love the crashing wave sound - relaxing.

However, sometimes, one of my ears "shuts down", and I hear an intensifying "hum" - loud, as it rises, holds for a few seconds, then decreases, then my ear is "released", and I can hear again.

No. Something is definitely happening around the globe. It must be on a global scale. If the poles are in reversal, and if the Mayans were right, what is going to happen may be a combination of not only extraterrestrial, but from the interior of the Earth as well.

Buckle your seatbelts, everyone! We're in for a "bumpy ride"!

So, is it the solar radiation from the sun, or the earth itself that is putting out these frequencies, or is this frequency being generated from something man made... Perhaps for nefarious reasons?

There should be some research into this.

Over and above, the enveloping fog of sound pollution being created by ever increasing industrialization and traffic may be working as a magnifying convex lens for magnification of the eerie sounds. So the eerie sounds are getting even more and more audible and evident.

Things can be expected to remain somewhat stable only before the resonance begins with matching frequencies or their multipliers.

Good question, Silver.

http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/

Some are claiming this is the answer. Only one problem. It deals in high frequencies, not low ones.

" It is designed to transmit a narrow beam of high power radio signals in the 2.8 to 10 MHz frequency range."

That is much higher than the 20 MHz of these sounds. Unless, of course, we are being lied to which wouldn't be unusual anyway.

I found this pic.

 -

"Throughout the past few years, there has been an increase in aerial anomalies reported throughout the world. The Sydney spiral UFO that was reported last summer as well as the awesome Norway spiral that captured the world’s attention."

And what it was follows.

http://www.reality-choice.org/159/strange-sounds-all-around-the-world

"What is causing the strange noises being reported? Is this part of hoax? Or is this some sort of secret technological weapon being developed and tested by some obscure military division? Could the rumblings, vibrations and sounds heard in Canada be a product of this technology?
Or am I just kidding myself, and you as well? Well, let’s take this following video into consideration. The video is said to have been filmed on June 22, 2010, in British Columbia. The video starts off with a high pitched sound being heard and recorded early in the day. Just a few hours later, the person who had recorded the strange sound noticed that there were some ionosphere lights showing across the sky. These are sometimes referred to as “earthquake lights“. Surprisingly a 5.0-magnitude earthquake was registered across Canada just a mere 11 hours later. All of this was caught on tape:"

Whatever the sounds are, as I said, seem to be around large bodies of water. That's interesting.

I'm sure some of them are "made up", but the vast majority? I doubt it. I'm still going with the Earth's Poles. Like anything else, when it changes direction, it's not exactly silent. We have to hear something. Problem is, no human (that we know of for sure) has been around in recorded history for a pole reversal. Those that were pre-recorded history would have handed it down wouldn't they? Maybe not. Because those people wouldn't be able to know about the world wide sounds.

The Mayans may have had their fingers on the "button", so to speak.

I found an interesting idea in, of all places, the Bible.

The Mayans said the new cycle was every 26,000 years. Strangely enough, the allotment of land for the 12 tribes were 25,000 cubits long with 20,000 cubits wide.

1 Chronicles 7:40 says "40 All these were descendants of Asher—heads of families, choice men, brave warriors and outstanding leaders. The number of men ready for battle, as listed in their genealogy, was 26,000."

Another instance of this same range is 24,000 men in divisions in I Chronicles 27.

We know that this year, 2012, is the end of this cycle @ 26,000 years.

It's obviously quite clear that this number (and those bordering it) have a meaning.

On the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years.

We just don't know what to look for, or even listen for as well.

As I said...I'm still going with the pole reversal aided probably by the solar flares.

As on the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years, so then the molten core of the earth may be under the maximum stress of galactic gravitational pull to change in to the elliptical shape along the axis of the Milky Way. It is difficult to say as to how much of ellipsoid will be really formed, but perhaps Mayan knew something that we do not know yet.

Considering the size of the Earth (BB size)as opposed to the size of our Milky Way Galaxy (Mind bogglingly huge) and the unimaginable distances involved; you have to figure that this hypothetical aleignment would be spread over several centuries not a certain day or even year. Its hard to explain to laymen who have not studied astronomy in some detail. The casual observer tends to generalize distances and sizes in his or her own conception of same. These conceptions are usually way off the beam. IF there is anything to galactic aleignment, (which I seriously doubt) it would have started a couple centuries ago and will continue its effects for a couple centuries after the fact. Just as December 21st 2012 will just be another day like most other days (Unless some moron decides thats a great time to start a nuclear holocaust). The Maya were extremely aware of the stars. If they had optical aid (there is some challenged evidence of this) it would have been crude by todays standards. But they were very observant and a few appeared to have remarklable eyesight. They noted the cycles of the stars and calculated the greater cycles that took more than a lifetime or two to complete. Their calendars are based on these cycles. But that is what they are....cycles. A simple measurement of time. Noone knows how the first cycle was established; though some speculate that they noted the great cycle occuring and backcalculated to the begining of that cycle; moving forward from there, or are the Mayans decendants of people who actually experienced living through 4 complete cycles, this being the fifth cycle ending in December 21 of this year? Then there is the theory that the people who became the Mayans experienced a world wide calamity so devestating that they started their long count at that point? Five complete cycles would require 130,000 years. Now that would certainly shoot the archeologists in the foot. They claim people have only been around on this continent, maybe, 16,000 years. I consider that "fact" a joke. But the long count is 26,000 years and that single cycle throws mankind on this continent back at least 10,000 years longer than contemporary archeologists are prone to admit. As you must be able to see; the history of man in the "new" world is anything but complete or accurate. Blame overenflated egos for most of this inaccuracy. There is much to learn yet; much more than we presently know. But know this; The Mayans did NOT say the earth would end. They only said that their calendar would need a new starting point. They have said, repeatedly, "the gringos are crazy"

BTW recent observations from the Venus probe the United States has in orbit around Venus has made a disturbing discovery, The rotation of Venus is slowing down very fast, as such things go. This slowing down of Venus just adds fuel to the theory that Venus is a relatively new planet that took up residency around the Sun only a few thousand years ago, Look out Velakovski and Mars Prime. Similer to the report above I have read some where that excessive solar flares can heat up the earth`s core, causing many volcano eruptions. It was my theory as to why the last ice age ended, maybe these rummbelings are commimg from the inter earth and were around before.May be they are heard more around bodies of water because they are deeper in the earth. Gee guys its really scarey when you hear them as we have. like I would`nt believe in a ghost unless I saw one myself [Smile] [Smile]

Also with the report that the sounds maybe underwater waves crashing together.

Colliding ocean wavesResearchers from the USArray Earthscope have tracked down a series of infrasonic humming noises produced by waves crashing together and thence into the ocean floor, off the North-West coast of the USA. Potentially, sound from these collisions could travel to many parts of the globe.)

The report above could be right in what is expected to happen.

therefore, we should expect by the end of 2012 a sharp rise in strong earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and extreme weather events with peak levels in 2013 - 2014.

How coincidental, I just watched a program on TV last night about infrasound. It engulfs some pretty scary stuff which I’ve suspected for a long time already. There are natural sounds, but then there are also man made infrasound, and in such things as weapons that date all the way back to Germany before the war.

Today Haarp can be used as one of them, but the police also have sound/sonic weapons, and there are even sites on the Internet that you can buy and build one yourself. Also today medical science uses what’s called lithotripters (sound waves) to shatter kidney stones. I have no doubt that infrasound was known about and used centuries ago. The Great Pyramid of Giza is still one of these sound resonating devices. I’m curious what Presidents Obama’s visit (this past year) was all about with Egyptologist Dr. Hawi Zawass?

Look at him here going into the Pyramid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJtYYvVjYHA

In my book I talk a lot about “sound/frequency” and its impacts, and I go onto explain how it is related to holy language.

I believe all the unanswered questions will soon come regarding G-d and things written in the Bible. Brig there is more knowledge than you know of out there that has proven beyond doubting that our earth, solar system/galaxy and universe in YOUNG, and only in the thousand year range! Knowledge that is suppressed just because it hampers jobs and halts money grants for more investigation. They keep feeding us this bogus line of “evolution”.

Additionally people always ask where did the water from Noahs Great Flood come from? The Bible tells us that the chambers of the deep opened…

Well, most people do not even realize just how many volcanoes are under the sea… this is where the flood waters came from:

Even better, I think the question should be asked… how does one block infrasound? The defenseless whales and Dolphins in the ocean breach themselves to try and escape it!

Is there a such thing as infrasonic armor?

In Gavreau's own words: “There does not exist complete protection against infrasound.”

However, I stumbled upon this:

Its also interesting to know how to detect it?

I was at the Sci Fi Cafe in Burlington Wisconsin yesterday doing a book signing, and from some of the rumors I've been hearing from the locals... UFOs and strange lights have been seen this past weekend, and are increasing dramatically in the area.

I have been aware of the Burrows Cave artifacts for years through the publication Ancient American Archeology (not to be confused with Early American Archeology). This magazine has written many reports on the Burrows Cave find includig the fact the cave has never been revealed to anyone outside the discoverer and a supposedly few close friends. While it would be difficult for one person to do all of the artifacts that have come to light; it is still suspecious that the finder won't disclose his find and put an end to endless speculation and skepticism. As far as the ohio stone is concerned we all know contempary archeologists will declare anything and everything a "hoax" if it differs with the archeologist's world view. But to delibertly refuse to reveal proof of a claim is the epitomy of selfishness or greed. So naturally, the "find" is going to be held in contempt. There was a second find of ancient (egyptian) artifacts in the southern part of West Virginia, but, unfortunately I cannot remember the location nor the details. Seems it might have been in Greenbrier County. As I have said before, Atlantis has been located everywhere on the world map. Even West Virginia. For more on the Burrows Cave look for old copies of "Ancient American Archeology" or visit their website.

I` ve come to the conclusion the sounds maybe just maybe the ice breaking up and rubbing against land , ice moving around bumping into land deep in the Artic and Antarctica, its the only sound that matches the horn sounds that people are hearing

Slow Down (unidentified sound)

Analysis
The name was given because the sound slowly decreases in
frequency
Frequency over about 7 minutes. The sound was detected at 15°S 115°W / 15°S 115°W / -15; -115. It was recorded using an autonomous hydrophone array.[1] The sound has been picked up several times each year since 1997[2]. One of the hypotheses on the origin of the sound is moving ice in Antarctica. Sound spectrograms of friction closely resemble the spectrogram of the Slow Down. This suggests the source of the sound could be a friction phenomenon of ice rubbing over land.[3]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unexplained_sounds

Just go and click on the Slow Down and listen to the recording.

My husband said he heard the humming noise the day before... He was out in the county nestled in the woods.

He said it is usually dead quiet out there.

I also heard a loud sonic boom last night around 10:00pm. It was loud and the whole house shook... My cat freaked out! No sirens where heard afterwards, no news reports either.... Very strange! Apparently others heard it to, but no answers as to what it was?
